Happy February!
For most people, February brings to mind groundhogs and Cupid’s bows, but for us here at McCauley Animal Clinic/New Melle Animal Hospital, it’s all about Dental Health Month. If you get a whiff of your dog's or cat's bad breath when you lean in to give him or her a Valentine’s Day smooch, you may want to visit our clinic. Dogs need regular dental cleaning to remove plaque and tartar that can cause bad breath. After all, they don't get their teeth brushed daily like we do! In between dental cleanings, help keep your dog’s teeth clean and healthy with a daily ORAVET® dental hygiene chew. ORAVET chews work by removing existing plaque and forms a protective barrier against the bacteria that leads to plaque, tartar and bad breath. Check out the ORAVET website, oravet.com or Facebook page, to learn more. In celebration of National Pet Dental Health Month, we're giving a special gift bag to you and your pet if they are scheduled for a dental procedure in February. If you have any questions about your dog’s oral health care, contact us at mccauleyac@gmail.com or newmelleanimalhospital@gmail.com.
