Ira McCauley, DVM
Dr. Ira McCauley graduated from MU Veterinary school in 1995. After graduation he worked as a mixed animal veterinarian in Higginsville, MO. In 1997 he went to work for The Animal Emergency Clinic in Lees Summit, MO as a full time staff veterinarian. During this period he also performed relief work at numerous hospitals in the Kansas City area. During this time frame Dr. Aaron McCauley had entered veterinary school and a decision was made that they would endeavor to operate a practice together in the future.
In 2000, Ira moved to the St. Louis area and Doctors McCauley purchased New Melle Animal Hospital. In 2001 McCauley Animal Clinic was opened in Weldon Springs.
Dr. Ira enjoys the interaction with clients and pets in both of the practices. His main area of focus is surgery and sporting dogs. He also owns a waterfowling products manufacturing business named MOmarsh, Inc.
Dr. Ira lives in Defiance, MO with his wife Kellie. They have 2 sons- Kory and Quinn who are a full time job and then some for Kellie. They have three black Labrador Retrievers, Sadie, May and Buck, who love to retrieve and get into trouble. Their aloof cat is named Riley.
Aaron McCauley, DVM
Dr. Aaron McCauley is an MU graduate who received his BS in Animal Science in 1994 and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1998. He began working for a 7 doctor practice in St. Louis that he had worked for throughout high school and college. To gain additional experience, he worked for the Animal Emergency Clinic in St. Louis and St. Charles for 2 years. In 2001, the brothers began operating New Melle Animal Hospital in New Melle, MO. Shortly thereafter, McCauley Animal Clinic was opened in St. Charles.

Mike Hoffman, DVM
Dr. Mike Hoffman was born and raised in the St. Louis area. He returned to St. Louis after graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. He joined McCauley Animal Clinic directly after graduation and continues to practice there full time. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Hoffman lives in O'Fallon, Missouri with his wife Gina. They have a daughter, a son, and another son to arrive in late winter 2010! They enjoy attending sporting events and spending time with friends and family.
Dewayne Garrett, DVM
Dr. Dwayne Garrett was born and raised in Warrenton/Wright City area. He graduated from Wright City High School in 1957, then went on the the University of Missouri, where he earned Bachelor of Science degree in 1961 and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1965
From June, 1965 to April, 2002, Dr Garrett was a partner in Veterinary Clinics in Wentzville and Troy, Missour. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, a Lifetime member of the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, and a Member of the St. Louis Veterinary Association.
He served 9 years on the Wentzville R-4 Board of Education and has been a member of Lions Clubs International for the past 41 years; serving as International Director from 1996 to 1998. He currently serves on the Board of Directors Of Missouri Bank in Wentzville, as well as the Tri County YMCA Capital Campaign Steering Committee.
Dr. Garrett and his wife, Jeanette, have been married for 45 years, and have lived in Wentzville since 1965. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and enjoying time with his three grandsons.
